Denatured Alcohol
Basic info
Reference - practical-sailor making-sense-of-solvents. As a solution in water with a few drops of dishwashing liquid, denatured alcohol is a great solar panel cleaner. It is a poor degreaser, but effective on some inks. Perhaps you have it on board as stove fuel, but it is no substitute for more effective petroleum solvents.
- Use in a well-ventilated area.

- Inside the cabin is fine
 
Personal Protective Equipment
- Avoid contact with eyes.
 - No PPE is needed.
 
Disposal
- Dispose of at hazardous waste facility. Ask at shipyard or marina if they offer disposal services.
 - Although not ideal, it will evaporate very quickly. Do so outdoors.
 
Uses
- Add to dishwashing soap and water to clean solar panels.
 - Use to clean surfaces in accordance with the solvent chart
